AN ODE

Alex Turner once sang in lust of a girl in a cheetah print coat named Arabella. I mean my name kinda rhymes, right? Granted, this is definitely leopard print and I only ever dream of Turner dedicating a song to me, but this coat gives me major "I'm with the band" kind of vibes. Just the kind of style I'm into! So, here's this look, an ode to my inner rockstar and/or pop star. Because at one point, I wanted to be that too...

VELVET TEDDY

Velvet makes a huge comeback every fall and I have never really given it too much attention. I migrate away from set trends but velvet is shining through as a key piece. It got me. I'm into everything velvet and I fell in love with this chocolatey jacket as soon as I saw it. Velvet is often mixed into 90's silhouettes but the cool thing about this piece is that it has a little bit of a 70's vintage feel!

Also, side note: These photos were taken in NYC and I really miss it as I'm writing this post. The weather was so perfect for light layering and a sweet escape from this LA heat!

SILKY SMOOTH

Nothing feels better than silk on the skin. Give me silk everything please and thank you. This silk burgundy gem is a part of the Zayna Bayne + & Other Stories collab. It's the exact kind of slinky top you can throw on with anything. Tuck it into your favorite pair of Levi's, button it down low with a great heel for a night out or as I did, tuck it into a skirt.  Button up tops are so versatile and I'm already eyeing up a million different silky options to add to my closet. My only gripe is that silk is pretty high maintenance...like me. Kidding. But not really. I guess I'll become friends with my local dry cleaners!
